Ryan Sullivan new 90mph guy?!
Ok... So it was on a Turn and Burn and not a live pitch, but Ryan Sullivan started pitching 2 years ago at 70 mph. He now tops out at 84 mph. This guy works his tail off. Relentlessly positive, and a bulldog on the mound, he's obsessed with getting better.
This was the first time he ever felt a ball leave his hand at 90 mph. "It felt great", he said....(ya think?).
Very happy for him.
Ryan is an 18 year old senior at Durant High School in Plant City, FL who is committed to attend...

Lack of command is mental failure.
Too many coaches and Dads look for mechanical flaws to explain lack of command. I have recently concluded that command is almost totally mental. Anecdotally, I've seen guys with horrible mechanics throw lots of strike, and I've seen mechanical poster boys who couldn't get the ball over the 17 inch dish to save their lives....
